Vinification:

The Zweigelt grape varietal was created by Dr. Fritz Zweigelt in 1922 and is a cross between St. Laurent and Blaufrankish. It is the most planted red variety in Austria covering 14% of the total vineyards' surface.
Bunches are pressed whole, the must is then fermented in temperature controlled in stainless steel tanks.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Light red with hints of blue on the rim.
Nose: Some hints of cloves and cherry carried on to the palate.
Palate: Cherry & cloves, juicy, soft and rounded tannins.
Other: Zweigelt goes well with dark meats, spicy dishes or Italian cooking.
