Viticulture

Vineyard: Vineyards located around the town of El Masroig.
Soil Type: Mostly chalky & calcareous.
Vine Age: from 30 to over 50 years old.

Vinification:

This is a blend of 50% Red Grenache, 40% Carignan and
10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
This wine was made using traditional fermentation with indigenous yeast. The two typical regional grapes; Carignan & Grenache are the backbone, the addition of the Cabernet Sauvignon adds complexity to the wine.
Aged for 12 months in French (80%) and American (20%) used oak barrels, then aged in the bottle to develop more refined flavors.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Deep garnet.
Nose: Hints of red fruits and spices.
Palate: It is fresh, focused and balanced with great concentration. Intense long finish.
Other: Pinyeres goes well with lamb, grilled red meat, tomato based pasta or pizza.
