2011 Grenache Blanc


Vineyard: A selection from a number of vineyards.
Soil Type: Formed by the decomposition of the granite mass of Falset, mixed with tertiary age limestone deposits.
Vine Age: 40 to 65 years old vines.
Irrigation: No irrigation
Harvest Date: Late August 2011.
Yield: 3.5 t/ha


This wine is 100% White Grenache. The grapes were selected from the oldest vineyards some of them 65 years old. Fermentation started in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and continued under temperature controlled oak barrels.
The wine was aged for six months in new French oak barrels, with regular batonnage.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Bright with hints of gold.
Nose: Rich aromas with pear, nectarine and toast.
Palate: Mid bodied but fresh, persistent, this wines expands on the palate, ripe and typical notes for a white Grenache. Nicely balanced and structured, excellent clarity and length.
Other: This is a richer style of white wine that shows intensity and a good grip on the palate. Serve chilled with rich creamy dishes or even spicy Thai dishes.
