Les Sorts Blanc
2008 Grenache Blanc
||Formed by the decomposition of the granite mass of Falset, mixed with tertiary age limestone deposits.
||Over 35 years old with other vines 65.
||First week of September.
||2 to 2.5 t/ha
This wine is 100% White Grenache. The grapes were selected from the oldest vineyards some of them 65 years old. Fermentation started in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and continued under temperature controlled oak barrels.
The wine was aged for five months in new French oak barrels, with regular batonnage.
||Clear and intense light golden color.
||Intense tropical fruits and melon, flowery, with some minerals, spices and toasty lees on the finish.
||Full bodied but fresh, persistent, ripe and typical notes for a White Grenache. Opulent and structured.
||This is a richer style of white wine that shows intensity and a good grip on the palate. Serve chilled with rich creamy dishes or even spicy Thai dishes.
