2007 Grenache Blanc


Vineyard: Several vineyards around El Masroig.
Soil Type: Soil is formed by the decomposition of the granite mass of Falset, mixed with tertiary age limestone deposits.
Vine Age: Older than 35, other 65 years old.
Irrigation: No irrigation
Harvest Date: First week of September 2007.
Yield: 2 to 2.5 t/ha.


This wine is 100% White Grenache. These grapes were selected from the oldest vineyards some of them 65 years old. Fermentation started in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and continued under temperature control in oak barrels.
The wine was aged for five months in 25% American and 75% French oak barrels, with regular bâtonnage.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Clear and intense light golden color.
Nose: Intense fruit, like pear, aromatic herbs, minerals, spices and smoky lees on the finish.
Palate: Deep and rich but fresh, persistent and typical of White Grenache. It is a full bodied wine.
Other: Best enjoyed with food, flavorful dishes.
