Vinification:

The Villegas vineyard is located within the town of Valtuille and the
vines are over 100 years old, pre-phylloxera.
Hand-picked, the grapes are fermented in one 500 liters open
French oak barrels. Whole cluster partly fermented. Aged for a year
in French oak barrels.
500 bottles made.
'2014 has to be one of the finest vintages in recent times, with very
floral, aromatic and elegant wines. It has the freshness of 2013 and
the power of 2012. This is, of course, the winery of the family of

Tasting Notes:

Color: Dark ruby with purple on the rim.
Nose: Rich, Intense, fresh red berries and minerals.
Palate: It is soft and velvety, ripe red fruits with some dark
berries. Elegant with fine tannins, shows aromatic and
floral notes.
Other: This wine will aged relatively well, will go well with coq
au vin, or any rich flavored dishes.
