The Villegas vineyard is located within the town of Valtuille and the vines are over 100 years old.
Hand picked, the grapes are fermented in 500 liters open French oak barrels. Following an extended maceration process the wine is aged for a year in used French oak barrels.
500 bottles made.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Dark red cherry.
Nose: Intense, fresh red berries such as strawberries and raspberries, hints of cherry showing more over time.
Palate: Mild acidity, fresh, fruity and meaty at once. Very tasty and balanced, great spice and mineral showing.
Other: This wine is great paired with rich winter stews or game. Also goes well with spice.
