Vineyard: 580 meters above sea level, planted with a density of 4 to 7000 vines per ha.
Soil Type: Sand, Arcillosos and stones.

Harvest Date: 3rd week of September.
Yield: 2 to 3 t/ha


Cepas Centenerias comes from a pre-phylloxera vineyard, with sandy soil. The local grape Mencia is used to make this wine, to which 5% Bastardo and 2% others local grapes were also added.
The grapes were hand picked and fermented in French oak barrels before aging for 16 months in French barrels. The total production of this wine is 3 500 bottles.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Light purple.
Nose: Spices, white pepper, black cherry, enticing.
Palate: Beautiful balance on the palate, with depth, also soft and silky with rich cherry fruit.
Other: A very pleasing wine, that expresses pure elegance. May be aged for more maturity, it is a versatile food wine soft with a solid grip on the finish.
