This wine comes from 5 different vineyards situated in Valtuille de Abajo. The vineyards are planted on the only sandy soils found in Bierzo and the vines come from before the phyloxera time, its second name is Cepas Centanarias.
The grapes are handpicked and sorted in the vineyard. The wine is macerated and fermented in 6000 liters wooden barrels and aged for 16 months in 228 liters Burgundy barrels.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Purple.
Nose: A splendid nose of earth, cedar, tobacco, black currant and blackberry liqueur.
Palate: Mouth-filling and rich, the wine has layer upon layer of ripe fruit and superb balance. Very elegant.
Other: Still in its youth, this wine can be aged over 20 years.
