Close attention is given to the vines and everything is done by hand. The gobolet technique is used for pruning. Vinification techniques are kept as traditional as possible.
This wine is made up of 95% Mencía, 3% Bastardo and 2% of other varietal.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks then the wine is aged for 15 months in 80% new French Oak barrels and 20% in second fill. The wine is not filtered.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Purple.
Nose: A splendid nose of earth, cedar, tobacco, black currant and blackberry liqueur.
Palate: Mouth-filling and rich, the wine has layer upon layer of ripe fruit and superb balance. .
Other: Still youthful, this beautiful Mencia will benefit from several years of additional bottle age and should provide pleasure through 2021.
