Harvest Date: Starts the 1st week of Sptember to finish the 1st week of October.

El Castro de Valtuille comes from a selection of several vineyards with a plantation density of 7000 vines per hectare.
Grapes are handpicked and the wine is vinified in stainless steel tanks before aging in 1st, 2nd and 3rd fill French oak barrels for 12 months. 36 000 bottles are produced.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Light red.
Nose: On the nose the wine presents elegant notes of wood with a mixture of fruits and chocolaty aromas.
Palate: In the mouth, powerful, structured, with plenty of fine tannins. Meaty and with a great concentration.
It is harmonious and well assembled.
Other: A well made, pleasant Mencía that is an ideal pair for coq au vin or other such sauce based subtle dishes.
