Vineyard: 600 meters above sea level.
Soil Type: Clayey, ferrous with pebbles.
Vine Age: 40 to 50 years old.

Castro Ventosa is situated in Bierzo.
El Castro del Valtuille comes from a 17 hectares vineyard with a plantation density of 7000 vines per hectare.
Close attention is given to the vines and everything is done by hand. The gobolet technique is used for pruning. Vinification techniques are kept as traditional as possible.
Fermentation is done partly in stainless steel tanks and French oak vats.
French oak is used for maturation, 30% in first fill barrels and 70% in second and third fill barrels.
The wine was not filtered.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Light violet.
Nose: Blackberry, scrub with intensity aromas.
Palate: Kindly sweet, fills the mouth with a soft taste. The aftertaste is fruity and prolonged.
Other: It gives off maturity and good body.
