Viticulture

Vineyard: The vineyards are located against the steep slopes surrounding the village of Porrera.
Soil Type: Licorella
Vine Age: Carignan 71 years old, Merlot and Syrah were planted in 1995 on terraces.
Irrigation: No irrigation

Yield: very low

Vinification:

Terra d'Hom is a blend of 40% Samso,30% Merlot, 30% Syrah.
The wine was aged for 18 months in light toast new French oak barrels.
4000 bottles made only.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Deep ruby.
Nose: Dark fruits such as dark plum and cherries.
Palate: Rich and soft at the same time with a good structure, ripe dark fruits with elegant tannins, a good acidity, well balanced and integrated.
Other: This is a food wine despite its strong character the wine stays soft, elegant and pleasing without being overpowering. It will pair well with rich stews or grilled red meat.
