Viticulture

Vineyard: Steep slopes located around the town of Porrera. The Garnacha is from El Menescal - Mas d’en Pubill is 450 meters above sea level with a South exposure, while the Cabernet Sauvignon is from Coma d'en Romeu, 400m alt. South/South-West slope.
Soil Type: Licorella.
Vine Age: Mainly planted in 1995 with older Garnach vines.
Irrigation: No irrigation

Yield: Very low.

Vinification:

This is a blend of 20% Garnacha, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 15% of each Merlot and Syrah. Aged for 16 months in 226 liters French oak barrels.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Deep ruby.
Nose: Dark fruits with spices.
Palate: Medium bodied to rich, with more dark fruits, some spice and licorice.
Other: This is a fresh and lively Priorat wine offering an easy drinking and affordable alternative from that region. It goes well with any grilled red meat or richer wintry stews.
